This interdisciplinary project, developed during my exchange semester in the Industrial Design Department of the ABK, ironizes the tendency towards comfort and automated locomotion.
In this scenario, E-Mobility comes in form of an all-terrain lifeboat with no boundries of direction, neither in private nor public space.

île flottante - A small, agile vehicle.
Electrically operated and with a tiller handle, you can maneuver through your everyday life in a relaxed manner.
Everyday life is accelerating.
He rushes past us. The leisurely is left with the feeling of being too slow in a time that is best spent in the fast lane. The left turn signal at the stop. We experience the moment as a phenomenon in the rearview mirror. Head bowed, eyes straight ahead, determined to make up every single second of our precious time, which in our hectic pace is so thinly slipping through our fingers.
Here we are, in this pickle.
It is well known that time seems to be racing in constant stress.
So let's loosen up!
If the lost time lies entirely in the moment, in relaxation, then one can assume: the more relaxed we move from A to B, the more time seems to be available to us.
